Join Stewart on this community night hike through Seattle’s old growth gem, Schmitz Park.  There will be a fair chance of seeing or hearing the resident Barred Owls, as they get closer to their most variably vocal and fascinating time of year – courtship (peaking in another month).  Owls or not, Stewart will share the fascinating stories of full wealth of life in this last, best remnant of Seattle’s original old growth forest.  All ages and stages welcome!

Dress for the weather.  Flashlight and binoculars (or even spotting scope) are optional.  I will share my two pairs of binoculars and my 3 flashlights.

Meet at the main entrance to Schmitz on SW Admiral Wy, where it intersects with SW Stevens (& SW Lander), by the gate with the stonework there.

RSVP not required, but if you send an e-mail or call – ecostewart@gmail.com or 206 932-7225 -(land) – it helps me estimate group and estimate the need to schedule more sessions or event.  Also don’t hesitate to e-mail or call with questions.  A light sprinkling of rain won’t stop us, but I will post a cancellation on the website and in my outgoing message if the weather looks too intimidating.
